Bucks Youth Summit On the 11th March 9 students from our school from  years 10-13 attended the 2024 Bucks Youth Summit in Aylesbury.  The Summit happened for the first time last year and was such a success Bucks Youth Voice were allowed to run it again.   32 mainstream schools attended along with Alfriston and each students took part in 4 different conversation spaces of their choice during the day.   The conversation spaces were based around the main areas of interest and issues for the youth of Bucks and our students chose from the following topics The feedback about the input and ideas from…

Pila Ski Trip 2024

Pila Ski Trip 2024 A group of 13 pupils and 3 staff made the trip across to Italy for a weeks skiing. They were blessed with boiling hot sunshine for the majority of the week, which made for very enjoyable lunches sat outside. The group embraced all challenges presented and everyone experienced a run from the top of the mountain at some point during the week. For those new to the slopes, they also mastered using a chairlift, gondola and the cable car. Santa Dash On Friday 8th December, the whole school took part in the annual Santa Dash following on from the Christmas Fayre festivities. The girls wore their house colours and each lap they completed earned them a house point for the house. Students Shine in Drama and Filming Collaboration In an exciting teamwork project, drama students, led by Mr. Fox, created two funny silent movie-style scenes. Meanwhile, Mrs. Denham’s filming group filmed and edited the project with skill. Ms. Devlin provided great support. Ms. Holmes from Stony Dean School brought along six students to join in the collaboration. The result was a cool blend of drama and film, showcasing the students’ talents.
