Mrs Blackburn has been working in collaboration with the V&A museum in London, to help create more inclusive workshops as a part of their offering. A result of this meant that 8 pupils took part in a pilot trial of the new V&A SEND education program.
The first session was in school where the staff met the pupils and did some work on Japanese designs. The second part was a visit to the V&A where the pupils looked round the Japanese section of the museum and designed windmills and plates. The session finished with them experiencing a sensory pop up art installation with their art, falling blossom and blossom scents.
