Message from Mrs Male
It’s the end of the term, and Christmas is nearly upon us. We have had a wonderful time here at Alfriston, celebrating all things festive, and enjoying our many events and activities. It was especially nice to be able to welcome many of you into school to share some of these times with us.
It seems such a long time ago that the whole school went on a trip to the seaside, and sat on the beach, but it was only at the start of this term. What a contrast to our latest whole school trip when we snuggled up with a whole cinema screen to ourselves to watch a Christmas movie together. These are the fun times when memories are made, and lasting friendships built.
You will also have seen the weekly newsletters and read about all that has been happening at school. There are so many exciting curriculum events and opportunities, providing challenge and experiences to help our girls to grow into confident young adults. Some of our girls have shown great courage and determination, both in class and out, learning lessons for life.
There will be a few small changes in staffing for next term, which you can read about later in this newsletter. However, it will be business as usual, and I am looking forward to the New Year, with fresh ideas and inspiration for another productive and enjoyable term.
Wishing you all a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
