The Christmas Fayre raised approximately £2500 for the school this year and was enjoyed by all who attended. A huge thank you goes to all Miss Stone, school staff, and The Friends of Alfriston for hosting a fabulous event for our school community. One of our pupils has written a piece to share her fun-filled memory of the fayre…
“On Friday it was a very fun day. In the morning was my Christmas Bazaar and there were so many things to buy. There was a lucky dip, I love the lucky dip, because you don’t know what you will get of course there was a tombola and me and my mum won a bodywash.
Then we checked every single table and what we could buy. I found my favourite jewellery and I bought my sister a matching bracelet as me. Then I got a gingerbread man biscuit in a tin for my brother and for my sister I got a chocolate coin in a fairy tin. Then I saw a jar that light up with a fairy inside, it.
We also got a snow globe that you can put a small picture inside and when you shake its snows. In the afternoon there was a raffle for a gingerbread house which looked delicious! I won it. When I got home my family were very happy and now, we cannot wait until Christmas Day to eat it.”
