A group of 25 young people from Alfriston School embarked on a remarkable journey to Garsington Opera on Wednesday 12th July. Following a workshop with the opera group a few months ago, the students were treated to a captivating performance of “The Bartered Bride” and a workshop in the interval.

With anticipation in the air, the students were immersed in the mesmerizing show, enjoying brilliant views of the performance. For some, it was their first theatre or opera experience, proving to be a life-changing moment.

Expressing gratitude, one student said, “Thank you so much to the school and the Opera company for arranging this amazing opportunity.” The success of the trip has already sparked plans for a return visit next year.

This immersive experience left a lasting impression on their hearts and minds.
