2nd June 2020
I hope you are all well.
We are now into the first week back after the half term, and have begun to put our phased re-opening plan into practice. This week we are carrying out a trial run of the wider re-opening to test out our plan, with a social bubble per year group being introduced once a week. Staff are attending this week as per the rota, but the pupils will not be admitted until next week. We are restricted to keeping the groups to a maximum of 8 to allow for social distancing in the classrooms, but there is high demand for places in some year groups so not everyone is able to be offered a place at this stage.
We are following local and national Health and Safety guidance, and will continue to review our plan in response to government advice and to the changes and developments in the COVID situation.
We are looking forward to seeing more of our pupils next week, and hope that we can continue to extend this offer over the coming weeks to allow most pupils the opportunity to attend for at least some time before the end of the Summer term if they would like to. This will be dependent on our ability to be able to do this in a safe manner. Requests for further placements will be considered and placed on a waiting list in readiness for any new or increased bubbles to be introduced as circumstances allow.
We are continuing to provide home learning, and hope that you and your families are safe and well.
