3rd April 2020
We now find ourselves at the end of the Spring Term, and into the second week of the lockdown. I hope you have all managed to keep safe and to look after one another during this time.
At the end of the lockdown period, which will be during the Easter holidays, I am hoping to gain some indication of when we might be able to plan for re-opening the school. At this stage, we are still expecting to remain partially open for those pupils whose parents are critical workers and unable to keep them at home or with significant wellbeing and welfare vulnerabilities. I do realise though, that some pupils and families who have been staying at home will have found this situation more difficult than expected, and may need our support. Most of us are lucky in that technology has enabled us to keep connections alive and in touch with one another but we are concerned for those who do not have that facility. We have been monitoring and assessing individual needs, and will be in contact again after the break.
Thank you to all of you who have sent kind messages of support to our staff, who have been working hard to make this situation as bearable and enjoyable as they can. It is nice to know that their efforts have been appreciated. This has been a new learning experience for the adults, as well as for the girls. I think they have all risen to the occasion admirably.
I do hope that you are all taking care of yourselves as well as looking after loved ones and others. This period will pass, and we might look back to find some unexpected gains. We send you our best wishes and support.
