I hope you are all well, and coping with these unusual circumstances that we find ourselves in.
Following last night’s Government announcement, we are stepping up our efforts in school to increase social distancing still further. Today we have 8 pupils attending, which has allowed me to release some staff to work from home. If we can reduce this number, then I could allow more staff to stay at home. It is vital that we practise social distancing as the Government is advising to delay the spread of this virus, and I am determined that we will do all we can to support this strategy. I do hope that you are all doing your bit as well at home to keep yourselves and your family away from others.
The majority of our pupils are now working from home, and I was pleased to see how many of them are doing the work set and are in contact with their teachers. Our staff will be there for them, trying to keep in touch with them and to maintain their learning. Please continue to check the Electronic Homework Diary every day for work and messages. If you have any difficulties with this, we will try to help you. Please email or phone the school and leave a message and we will get back to you when we can.
I will keep you updated on any changes or developments, and am looking forward to the day when I can announce that our school is re-opening to everyone and that we’re back to business as usual.
